I have spent years enjoying candles from many well-known brands and have always felt excited about each new candle I purchased. I believe a good candle is a special treat for yourself. Not only do I enjoy the scent of a candle, but I also love how aesthetically pleasing most candles are when positioned in their perfect place in a home. 

I’ve always been a homebody, and I spent a lot of time in my home especially whilst raising my two children who are now teenagers, and I have always been extremely house proud. I’ve always loved candles and took great pride in choosing my candles carefully when shopping for them, making sure both aesthetic and smell were the exact right scent for me and my home. And as a single parent, I would find that once the children were in bed, that was my ‘me time’ where I could light my candle and enjoy my evening, feeling as if the candle brought me a sense of tranquility and luxury.

After I bought my current home, I found myself once again, searching for the perfect candle to purchase before deciding to create my own. I soon fell in love with the process and from there, the idea for The Layonie Collection was born.
